How does shazam songs find?




Hi friends , We will talk about "How do you find Shazam songs?"...

I was wondering, and I found it .Because I was so surprised when I was using Shazam..


Let's take a closer look... :)


As we know, each song has the same impression that it is the fingerprint of every human being.This is called Spectrogram.The application matches the spectrum of the song you are listening to by scanning the spectra in your own database.Then it gives you the name of the song that this spectrum belongs to.

Actually  according to my research , the basis of this application lies in signal processing.


In addition ;


  • Shazam ,take a 10 second sample and compare it with the data in your own database.
  • Then the application uploads the fingerprint to Shazams Service ,which runs a search for a matching fingerprint in their database.
  • If If it founds a match , returns the song information requested by the user, otherwise an error is returned.
